We continued to discuss the car when I mentioned that I had purchased my S4 for $500 over invoice and I was looking to get the same deal, if not better. The salesman/manager quickly interrupted me to say that the S6 is a more rare vehicle than the S4 and that such a deal would not be available, he continued on to let me know I would have to pay full MSRP, have you guys run into this? Well I figured a way out with some help of a salesperson on how to get the car at invoice, but was wondering how you guys did?
Of course Audi sells fewer S6s than S4s, but that's because the market is smaller for the more expensive car. You can even get substantial discounts on most Porsche models with the exception of limited production cars like the GT3 and GT4. In my area dealers are more apt to deal in the winter months than in the Spring or Summer. I bet I could go to my local Audi dealer in late December and buy a new S6 for under the invoice price plus whatever the loyalty discount is at that time.

never been before, but looking forward to it.

just thinking out loud, i intend to ask at the factory what i can do with a brand spanking new engine.......will there be any restrictions on how fast to drive or how high to bring the RPM on an engine with less than 20 miles on it?????

what do you think?

Expect the same info as that in the manual....No full throttle of extended periods of time at a fixed engine speed for the first 1000 miles. Opinions vary GREATLY on this!
