I just drove from Jackson, MS to Washington, DC and back. On the way up I averaged 29+ mpg. On the way back 30+ mpg. Each way is just under 1000 miles. I drove between 65 and 75 mph. I just got a ticket for not realizing how fast this car can go before you notice it. I wasn't going to push my luck, even with a radar detector. The routes were different. The drive up was flat but took me through Atlanta, which was a parking lot. The drive back had more hills. Cruise control was on for most of the time.
