What tire pressure are you using in your S6?
Im running the factory p-zeros on my '16 S6. Havent thought about the tire pressures until today when the light came on. One of the tires is down at 31lb where the other 3 are at 35. I never payed attention to it before but the sticker in the door jam says 46 for fronts and 48 for the rears.

The door jamb numbers are for max load. If you check the manual it states 41F/39R for normal load.
I rode with a ACNA instructor at Sonoma in his S6 and he was running 37/35 (iirc) for maximum grip. I personally been splitting the difference and running 39/37 for street.

I think the higher pressure in front helps minimize understeer somewhat. Another reason might be to provide for more protection against rim damage from potholes?

If 65% of the weight is carried over the front wheels, why would you want higher pressure in the rear ?
Audis being life as front wheel drive cars. The vast majority of weight in a front wheel drive is on the front wheels.

Primary reason for higher tyre pressures is reduced rolling resistance = lower fuel consumption. The label tyre pressure numbers are what Audi will have used to achieve the nominated consumption figures. Not necessarily ideal for either ride comfort or tyre wear (centre will wear first). All manufacturers are doing this.
