I am looking to order a 2017 S6 here in CA.
Does anyone know when the new 2017 S6 will be available to Factory Order?
Any changes/revisions from the 2016 model?

No idea, end of March would be a year from the first deliveries of 2016s, but since 2015 was a short year, I'd expect 2016 to be longer to get them back on that Summer/Fall schedule.

Changes will be minor, if any, since the car was just refreshed for 2016.

Doesn't the C8 start in 2018? That is what I am waiting for.

I'm not sure we can confirm the C8 will be MY18, at least in the US. Whenever it is, the S6 will probably come one MY after

I think you are correct.

C7 production commenced at the end of November 2010, and that was for the A7 version. The A6 was around 6 months later from memory, and the S6 later again. The platform has a 7 year cycle, so the earliest production date for the C8 S6 should be in the last half of 2018, and IIRC it is usually a further 6 months before the car appears in the US.

I never understand US model years, so just add 7 onto whatever was the first MY for the C7 version of the S6 which appeared in the US. If that was MY11, then MY18 would be correct. But I think it may have been MY12, at best??

There has been no technical or cosmetic changes to January 2016 production S6 versions, but some pricing adjustments depending on markets. Probably be the same with the next US MY.
