Why did you buy an S6 instead of an S7?

In May '12 when I first walked into the Audi dealer, they had an A7 and an A6 in the showroom. I had an immediate reaction to the back of the A7 and it wasn't good. That was the end of having to decide on an S7 or S6. Also, I had my wife remind me one reason we were getting a four door was to take friends to dinner - headroom counted. But the best thing about the S6 is it's 'wolf-in-sheeps-clothing' looks. When I travel, park in a hotel lot, most people, who are uninformed, look at the parked S6 as any another 4 door sedan , so I don't worry about it when I'm in the room.

I could not get over the looks of the S7 or RS7 (which I strongly considered) for that matter. But, I have always been biased toward sedans; there is just something about a hatch back that doesn't do it for me. Price was not a factor nor the room in the back seat it was purely based on looks.

Comfort, performance and value.
Seats 4 full-sized adults comfortably. No problems with headroom.
Performance is actually slightly better.
Bang for the buck, the S6 is a better value.

the back seats still a joke, im 5'10 and I wouldn't want to sit there for anything longer than a 1 hour drive. my previous w221 S550's back seats were heaven. I can sit there from la-sf or la-vegas in pure comfort. while adults do fit in the back of the S6, I wouldn't call it comfortable.
