I'm hopeful, I think the sport exhaust could make a difference, plus there's marginal extra hp in the 2016. The reworked tranny will be a welcome upgrade. I drove a base macan, I thought it was a great car but agreed re the sporty/ fun factor. I had a really hard time finding anything at that price point with four doors that wasn't too small and fun, so i ended up at the s7. The s6 might feel a little differnet in terms of how it handles, but also, i think you're still in the felony speed territory when you try to push these cars into fun land. That just may be the nature of the beast!

I would have gone for the S7 too if it had 3 seats in the back. Yeah, no major complaints about the Macan, but probably less fun to drive than the A7 I upgraded from (if it can even be considered an upgrade?). I heard from a few people who test drove the refreshed S6/S7 models in Europe that handeling/steering is a little bit better now too.
