while not quite an RS5, i do miss my S5 in the twisties (heck i miss my B6 S4 most for that) -- but every time i step on the gas in my S7, all of that goes away. to me, the engine is that good

very much so the engine noise is actually settable via drive select menu -- for me, i find that the comfort setting keeps it a bit closer to the way it sounded on my S5 (small difference given the twin turbo vs the NA), but the sport setting really makes it a nice, deep growl.
truth be told, i wasn't sure when i went to the dealer if i wanted an S7 vs an RS7 -- after test driving the S7, that was more than enough power for me.
between the raw power and the engine noise, it's really a ton of fun to drive.
