S7 ('16) Winter Wheels and Tires

Nice setup, Tom. I have the 20" black optic wheels on my '15 S7. Really wish I had gone the Hartmann + Tire Rack route. I love the look of the stock wheels but wanted to go with 19s for winter. I went with the Audi package ... most of the 19" packages on Tire Rack priced out close to the same, but none looked that great. Your setup with the 19" Hartmann's is awesome. If I had it to do over again, your setup would be a no-brainer for me.

Did theyt install wheels sensors?
Thanks,

I forgot to mention. I had the tires shipped from Tire Rack to Hartmann. Hartmann then put them on the wheels, did the balancing then shipped the wheel/tires to me. I had a local service shop put them on. It was really easy. I just told Tire Rack to ship them to Hartmann and reference my Hartmann order number. Hartmann was great about it (it was actually their idea). It worked out very well.

No. I did some research and I'm pretty sure Audi now uses a differential rotational TPMS system. The way it works I believe is that right after you make sure you're tires are all set to the right pressure, and the same pressure for all 4 tires, you go into MMI and calibrate the system. Then it monitors the wheel speed and if it sees a difference in one wheel spinning at a slightly different speed on average, it assumes that tire is under inflated. So, no sensors in the new system. Maybe someone else on this thread can confirm?
