Any others with this problem. It happened to me a few times now. I pull panel off in rear and pull the emergency pull and it will operate normal for several weeks Then it does it again. What gives? Thx. Joe

I checked in VCDS on my A7, and it was throwing a code that on the lock module was getting an open circuit or short to ground or something. Picked up a new one for $70 at the dealer installed it, never had a problem since.

Just sounds like it's on its way out.

I had the stuck gas door on my previous C7 A6 and i couldn't even open it with the emergency pull. It's a known failure item. I would suggest addressing the failing lock mechanism so you don't end up stuck with little gas and no way to open it!

Rapidly alternating between lock and unlock has freed it for me before.

I've had the same issue intermittently. I lock the doors, give a push on the filler door, then unlock again and I'm able to open it. Have a similar issue with the cup holder cover. Push on the front edge and that seems to unstick the back to be able to open it again...

I was having similar issues on my 2013 S7 and the dealership was able to correct. Would get gas in NJ where they pump for you. So embarrasing to have to exit the car and contiuoisly press on the gas door with no success. Well I guess I'll come back another time!
