Default S7 sound at idle

Hi guys, shame to start with a complaint but something is bugging me.. For the first 3000 miles or so my 2015 S7 was dead silent at idle (600rpm) - perfect. Now though, and not all the time, there is a subtle (but noticeable) low-frequency 'put-put-put' noise like there is a 3-cylinder motor running somewhere. Silence returns when the revs are raised a fraction, then it comes back. Tried to pinpoint where it is coming from but no luck.

I'll mention it at the first dealer visit but it's the sort of thing they will not 'get'. Anyone experience something similar? Thanks!

Mine only has 1600 miles, but it sounds pretty normal at idle to me.

Less miles. I start by thinking bad gas as a typical suspect. This could be anything though but I hope this is an anomaly for your car.

Could be secondary air injection...it can be kinda noisey sometimes.

So this would likely happen with changes in ambient temperature? The vehicle isn't compensating for denser air at idle? (or is, depending on your point of view)

What is the Audi Transmission Replacment Program? I could not find anything online about this. I am curious.
