Sorry, slickrick68, I pick it up on June 15. The tint is being added tomorrow, Monday June 8th. Will report back after a few hot summer days of driving.

How do you like the tint on the windshield in terms of cooling and night visibility?

I have never had a clear film on the windshield so I have no comparison but I have left it in a movie parking lot at noon in full sun and returned to a hot but not unbearable cabin. Night visibility is great. I can see fine and it is very clear. Can't tell yet but I'm hoping that the UV blockage will help keep the dash in good shape. It is garage kept overnight.
Only issue that I have yet to get a good answer on is what do I do if I want to affix a transponder for tolls or community entry? I asked the dealer when I picked up the car but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. I probably have to get the tint shop involved to stick anything onto the inside of the windshield.
So far I'm very happy with it.

You could try a mount that doesn't stick to the windshield. There's hundreds of dash mounting devices for phones, cameras, radar detectors, etc. that could be modified. Another possibility might be mounting it to the sunroof if there's room.

Anyone know the VLT% (Visable Light Transmission) on the factory windows?
No info on the Audi USA website.
North Carolina Law limits VLT to 35% that is NET so its the Film + the existing window.
I have a note into my dealer but not expecting much detail unless they happen to have a meter around
Thanks in advance,
Gary
Late to the thread here but I recall that the VLT from the factory is very high, 90% I beilieve. If you have to keep it to 35% remember that it's a multiplier. A 40% film would end up at 36% (90% x 40%). That's how my installer explained it to me and what I had done (MA is also 35%). He did show me on a meter btw.
