Don't be upset by the interior. I sat in a B9 earlier this week, and the interior quality is fantastic. The screen looks a lot more solid and integrated than the equivalent in the Mercedes C-class. I never retract the screen in my A7 - in fact, waiting for it to come up when I start the car up is annoying.

Sounds like turbo-lag will not exist in this new engine, like it still does in the current 2.0 turbo engine :-)

Could it finally be the holy grail of steering wheels... "...there are also versions with a heated rim and a flattened bottom. "

Hope no lag, but it cannot be as "instant" as the current supercharged engine.

No holy grail for you - heated and flat bottomed wheels remain separate options, the release was a bit confusing the way it was written.

I understand that cruise control will keep the car from going downhill too fast, but l never use cruise on twisty mountain roads...which is where we live!

And the car upshifts before you start up a steep incline only necessitating downshifting again.

Our 2014 S4 manual is great, as is our 2015 RS5 with dct...no unwanted upshifts or freewheeling in manual mode.
I believe the TT has the 6-speed S tronic (not the 8-speed Tiptronic) transmission, so maybe the execution of this feature will better/smoother/more satisfying with the Tiptronic in the S4. Let's hope.

I have been holding off for the release of the 2017 S4 ( so I can place my order). I have seen numerous articles in magazines like Car and Driver citing the 2017 S4, and that it would be available mid summer of 2016.

However, I recently was told by my local Audi dealer that there would be no 2017 S4. He said the the car would be released in the first quarter of 2017 as a 2018 model. So, whom I to believe? Will or Will there Not be a 2017 S4?
