Must… get… Auto-dimming mirror… help.
There are a few minor annoyances in my Daytona S3, but the missing auto-dimming rear-view mirror has brought me to my end.
I'm reading to give-up a kidney.
Anyone try this upgrade yet? A3 or S3?

That glaring headlight beams reflected off your rear view mirror from other drivers behind you has got to be a pain.
I have auto dimming and I still find it annoying. Which is why as soon as the weather gets warmer (spring) I'm adding tint to my A3.
arU4ic have you considered just getting your S3 tinted?

How much does Audi want for the mirror? Did you contact the parts department?
Sometimes the wiring is already there, meaning they don't make different wiring harness for cars with and without the auto dimming mirror, they just don't use the lead if the car is optioned without the mirror.
First find out if the harness already supports the factory mirror. If so, you could order the mirror from Audi and it should be plug n play. I have done this with other cars in the past.
