Audi Beam Rings (aftermarket install?)

Audi Beam Rings (aftermarket install?)
I haven't ordered my car yet but I wanted to get the Audi Beam Rings door lights. The option is $250. I was wondering if anyone knew what the cost is to get the genuine part and if it's a super easy install or not. I'm not mechanically inclined so is it as simple as a couple screws and replacing a cover on the light? Thought I might try to save a few bucks and do it myself.

They are very easy to install, just need a flat head screw driver to pop out the old ones...it's plug and play.
I ordered myself one set and will order another set shortly so that I have them on all 4 doors.
Also you have two options on ring beams: Audi rings and than one that says Quattro, I like the rings better. It's a pricey upgrade by I think it will be worth it.
Check out this thread for pictures and a lot of good information:

Also, all those extra's on the order sheet can be bought for almost half the price elsewhere. All weather mats can be bought on ECS Tuning, a USB cable can be bought on Amazon (nothing special about "Audi's USB cables), it's like a 1000% mark up, yes a thousand if not more.

If $250 is for 4 doors then it's cheaper than aftermarket. The install is easy though,, so if you can source them for $125 a pair or less, then aftermarket might safe a few bucks.

It's $250 for one pair, I asked the dealership and verified it with a car on the lot that had it on the invoice or I would have had the port do them.

Pry from the shorter edge. I am not even sure it would work from the longer edge at all. I bought a cheap set from Ebay first before I got a set of Audi ones from Ebay and the only thing about the ebay ones are they came with a little plastic Pry too. Don't use anything metal to pry them out.
