Default Side Marker Light Recall

As I'm going for my 5k service today my service department sent along info on the http://mycarfax.com App. When I signed up for same it displayed a recall I hadn't heard of:

09/22/2016
Manufacturer Safety recall issued
Recall #97CB SIDE MARKER LIGHTS

Just FYI

I just had my 5000-mile service done last week. There was a side marker light recall. It was a software fix. Still waiting on my seats side trim to come in to fix the plastic bit.

Probably just self serving butt dyno but in dynamic it did seem slightly more brisk and unexpectedly broke free the back end on a hard turn with ease (dry warm secondary roadway).

Interesting. Given the positive reviews of the '17 S3 in this regard and its adoption of a TT like all-in-one decision making, one wonders if we're not getting an update from lessons learned over there.

Typical NY dealerships...
I just got my 5K service, but no updates.
They insisted on rotating the wheels, but didn't bother to check the tire pressures. It's so nice to get a warning on the dash that tire pressures are low when you just left the dealer. At least the car knows more than they do.
