Isn't that some sort of sacrilege?!

Just got back from the local coin op car wash. She's much cleaner but without some better weather it's about as good as it's going to get.

I would say that one gets the prize. Looks like a lot of miles on a very dirty surface.

Coin op car wash... man, I don't let anyone touch the car unless it is by hand, with a microfiber cloth, soft water and very mild chemicals.

coin op is fine for a wash down but don't use those nasty brushes they have that dispense the soap etc. will just scratch the car. I just bought one of those brushes that attach to your hose at some that have a round brush on it that spins around with the water pressure for the wheels. looks pretty cool

I only wash my car at the carwash with the pressure washer, I hate any sort of brushes touching my cars, I dry it with their hand dryer, apply a coat of Maguire's ultimate quick detailer, and then finish it with a microfiber cloth which clean the car perfectly. It takes time to do it but it is worthwhile. I also apply wax 4 times a year.

Only the pressure washer for me as well. It looks just as bad today though. Pretty tough to keep it clean this time of year. It will get a thorough wash and wax this weekend and then get dirty again. Highs in the mid teens next week so this will be the last good wash until it warms up again.

I was always told that even the "touch-less/brush-less" car washes are not good for your car's paint, etc.

The soap/cleaning chemicals they need to use are very harsh - they have to be because there are no brushes or other things touching the car to help clean it.
