Default LED doorknobs

Hey, I was wondering if the NA (Canadian) A4's have LED's on the doorknobs which illuminate at night to see the ground. I can't find much info on it but I saw a video of it on youtube. I know its a fine detail but I'd like to know what I'm getting vs the European models.

Much appreciated!

Well. The American cars get it. I'm sure Canada should get it too.

In mine (US model) they don't turn on if the headlights switch (on left of steering column) is off. They do turn on if the switch is on auto. I am not sure how to enable them permanently.

I haven't noticed that. I always turn the headlight switch to the off position. Let me check tomorrow.

really? Why don't you just leave it in Auto? Then you never have to touch it and when you unlock at night or leave your car all the lights stay on for a bit so it's light when you're coming and going.

Habit I guess. Since I used to drive cars without the auto headlights long ago, I used to do the same in my A6 and continued that here. I sometimes leave it on auto but most of the time, I switch it off. Like a muscle memory thing. But I switch it to auto the first thing too.

Strangely, I do the same and have done so on 2 previous audis with auto headlights. Is there any drawback at all? lol... old habits, man...

the coming home and leaving home lights won't come on if it's not in Auto (which for me is important where I live)
