Hello everyone. I have been working with a designer to make a replacement gears for the tweeter issue. I wanted to show you what the final render looks like. Im having them 3d printed out of different materials to test the strength. This would be part 1 of 2 as there is a 2nd gear in the tweeter that also fails when the 1st one breaks. Once the 1st works ill get started on the 2nd. Hopefully this works out so we all can have a solution because purchasing new tweeters wasn't an option for me as even the new tweeters can also fail in the same manor. Here are some pics of what I ordered. I should have the prototypes mid January.

i was tired of seeing the tweeters stuck open lol. Did the gear fail on you?

Are you sure that printed wheels won't fail? What would be the price of a set?

this order i made will be the 1st prototype. i ordered then in 2 different types of plastic to test out. Once I'm happy with the final product. I was thinking about sending them out to some users on this forum to test and provide feed back. Price will all depend on the type of materials i have to use. I want them to last.

Wow!! Happy New Year indeed!! I'm definitely game for testing. When I purchased my A8L in Dec-2015 the passenger tweeter didn't raise, and recently the driver side ceased to raise also. So if you need testers for the gears, I'm all about it.
