Price check: '15 A8 4.0T
This board has been a great source of information, thank-you! Getting close on an a8 and wanted to check to see if anyone has any recent pricing anecdotes.
CPO 2015 A8 4.0T, with under 10k miles
premium, luxury, sport, and drivers assist packages
Initial ask is $57,375 thoughts on what price to target? Thanks in advance!

I always aim for an out the door price equal to market average asking price for a given car, meaning in your case, I'd pay $57k after tax, title, and fees. This assumes that their asking price is comparable to other matching cars out there. Ignore cars not at a proper dealership, they are to be avoided unless it's private party.

The delta on these cars is huge, and KBB isn't accurate on low volume cars. Do a search and compare it to similarly equipped models to check pricing. I'm seeing a $30k gap in pricing depending on options, mileage, and location on 2015 models, so it's tough to price.

Thanks. It sold before I made it to the dealer that afternoon. Sales manager said he almost bought it for himself, but had multiple interested parties. Was on the lot 2 days...
anyone know know how many 2015 short wheel base 4.0t's were sold in the US?

That price seemed correct. I just purchased a CPO A8 4.0T just before Christmas with more miles than that for $57K. Car is super clean with lots of options. I didn't see many short wheel base options when I was looking and pounced when I found a clean one. Good Luck!

2015 was the only year you could get a facelifted swb, they quit making them except for the S8 after that. If you want swb specifically, you're in for a hunt. This may be an instance where it's worth talking to the dealer and seeing if they will find one at auction specifically for you. Tell them what you're looking for and they may be willing to find one. They have to know you are serious to do it, though, they don't do this unless they're sure you're a buyer.
