Default Smart keys?

Just wondering if the number keys on the top of the touch pad are programmable? For instance, in my 5 series, I can program the traditional radio station buttons to anything like a specific phone number to dial, a NAV destination, or even to switch to a screen or feature. Is this the case with the keys/buttons on the touch pad in the Q? The dealer didnt seem to know, but its a great feature once you use it

Thanks

Unless I missed it...and I did go looking for it, that is a big emphatic NO. They are to be used for programming radio only. I really liked that feature in my BMW as well. Heck, even my SRX had more abilities to program the buttons. Maybe a software update? But yeah, who am I kidding.

I've read that this is available in other countries but for whatever reason not in the US.

That sucks! Honestly my favorite feature in my car. Who needs programmable FM radio keys anymore?!?!

You can use them for xm/Sirius/HD as well.

In the UK you can program them with the caller history but not direct from a contact.

To be honest though, I never use it as the voice commands are so reliable. Dealer recommended I learn the basics and glad I did. Saying "call John smith mobile" or "drive me home" is far quicker than fiddling with the MMI controls.
