Andres, you seem to have a good source of information. Do you understand why the exhaust outlets have been reported as non-functional on both the Q5 and SQ5. That the exhaust is reported exiting under the vehicle with curved exhaust. Audi's always have prominent exhaust outlets. The A4 and its variants have functional exhaust tips. Will this change during production? What gives?

It's not that I have good sources it's just that I'm waiting and hunting for news on the Web, here is a link on one magazine of Mexico and you can find information with the hash tag #Q5tellama or follow on Facebook "Audi de México"

I was pretty sold on waiting and gettin the new sq5, but the fake exhaust exits is really turning me off. It's almost a deal breaker, the beauty on the old model sq5 is the dual split double exhaust, and now its a fake plastic thing? say it ain't so, lads, please tell me why??? is this a new trend amongst car makers???

Acura has done something similar with their RDX and MDX. Although I think they are single exhaust, on the lower rear bumpers where exhaust tips would normally be, they have those reflectors.

Pre-facelift C5 A6 also had hidden exhaust.
It "worked" on that car, but I agree that it's not a good thing for the neu (S)Q5.

I think I'll wait for the facelift before I change to this new version.

[QUOTE=Andres Tamez;24910064]Hello everyone!

Yesterday Audi made the official launch of the new Q5, It will be available as of next week and the SQ5 will be available by April

Great info Andres, this gives us a feel for pricing.
Is there any pricing on the options for the SQ5?
1. In the US there is going to be a step up from the base SQ called the Premium
2. S Sport Package that includes air suspension, red brakes and a Sport rear differential.
Both are likely to be expensive.

No Info on the SQ5 yet, not even Audi.com.mx web page has been updated so I hope sometime next week there is more info, at least for the Q5 as the SQ5 will be available until april
