Hi -

My Q7 is scheduled to be built in about 4 weeks and the anticipation is killing me!

If I follow what others are saying - it sounds like I will receive another email from MyNewAudi saying something about "Your car is being built". When does this arrive? Seems like some get this email a few weeks before their "Production Week"? Is this standard, or should i just wait till the production week for an update from Audi?

The last email got hung up in my spam filter, so have been monitoring that closely.

Huh? My car was built this week and I never received any emails. Nor when I ordered it.

Ordered mine back in Aug 15.


I received the following emails from Audi:


Q7 is scheduled to be built on 9/5 (Car gone into production)
Q7 is leaving Germany soon on 9/28 (Production complete, heading to Emden)
Q7 is ready for delivery on 11/3 (Arrived in the US)


Dealer emailed on 11/15 (Tuesday) that Q7 is ready but didn't take my delivery until 11/18 (Friday).

I keep seeing this car leaving Germany thing, but I thought the Qs were built in Slovenia, home of the first lady

Your dealer has to sign you up for them.
They are assembled in Bratislava, Slovakia, but I believe then transported to the Emden, Germany port.

This was my experience as well. And decent communication from the dealer between Audi's e-mails.
