Default 5 bike carrier

Has anyone found a bike carrier that can carry 5 bikes on the q7 with the retractable trailer hitch?

Pretty sure all the cool kids are doing vertical mounts these days... I think I've seen a bunch of the NSR around here....

none of those options are usable with the audi Q7 retractable tow bar.

Sorry, sir. I had to look up what a retractable tow bar was...

So you have a what we in 'murica would call a tow hitch ball... that swivels out. Wow. Can't help ya. Good luck.

Perhaps look for a rack that uses straps to attach to the rear door/hatch. Though I can't imagine putting five bikes on that.

Tried a roof system? Rock solid. Just don't drive into your garage with bikes on.

roof system is too impractical for me .. i am not the tallest man in the world. But this Q7 is supposed to be a family car. Why didn't they create it to be carrier friendly?

Can you get a regular hitch installed? In the last dozen years I've never towed anything, but used my hitch receiver for a zillion bike rides. Rear hitch is a much safer way to transport bikes.

P.s. Where I live, and folks are transporting bikes, SUPs, surf boards, windsurfers, etc... many people have collapsible step stools in the back. No biggie.

I had to google this too, and i've never seen this in the USA.

Whats the purpose? Aesthetics? Europeans don't like seeing a standard 3" hitch?

Yes it looks nicer..... plus it is hidden from the elements.... so it does not rust .... My last trailer hitch was all rusted after 5 years of use..... With this Q7 ..it will be still like new 10 years from now as it is always hidden from rain and snow.
