Default Upper control arm inner bushings?

Where is a good place to get just the bushings? Ball joints look ok, so I have decided to do the bushings only on upper control arms. Have any of you guys tried that?

Or an Audi dealer. Don't waste your money on the Chinese junk Rock Auto offers. The low price is not worth having to do the job again.

You can also find places that sell the Lemforder brand bushings. Lemforder is the Original Equipment Supplier for the bushings and arms. Discounted dealer price is pretty close to genuine Lemforder price though anyway.

fcpeuro has them for $14 each with free shipping. I think I will go that route. Are all 4 upper control arms use the same bushing? What is a procedure to tighten them same as d2s?

Thanks

All 4 bushings are the same. You tighten them with regular load on the suspension. Failing that, basically at straight out/90 degrees is its position. Just look at the upper arms on with car on the ground before you start if you go that route.

To get to inner bolts, way more sensible to pull fender liner. Make sure you have about 5 of the sacrificial push pins per side to remount the liners. Also, do your self a big favor and buy a new pinch bolt for the ball joint side. If you are in a snow/rust area especially, literally start spraying it with penetrants now--as in, way before the job.
