Default Any indicator of mode in Drive Select?

When one changes the drive select mode from say Dynamic to Comfort, does the setting you're in show up anywhere? When I change mode, there is no indicator that the mode is actually changing. Am I missing something? Thanks. Regards. Ned.

If I remember correctly, the 6, 7 and 8 models don't have a Drive Select button on the middle console, so the current selected mode only shows up in the MMI under the Car menu. The highlighted mode is the current mode. On cars with a dedicated Drive Select button, the current mode shows up in the DIS if the button is pressed once and then as you cycle through the modes it shows the new mode in the DIS.

You may be right. All cars have little quirky things in their design that it seems to me should be changed, fixed. Would have thought the current driving mode would show up in the readout between the gauges, if for nothing else a confirmation that the drive select is actually changing and just let you know where you are, with perhaps a drive select button to more easily change between modes. I called my salesman at Audi, he seemed to think there was a mode indicator in the dash but I don't see one. Thanks. Regards. Ned.

No mode indicator on the dash--you can only see it in the Car menu. I just set mine up in individual and leave it there.
