Music on USB does not play songs when media is selected

Music on USB does not play songs when media is selected
Hello
I have around 123 songs on USB and they are all MP3 format however of the 123 songs that i have only 8 can be played and when I try selecting the others, it skips as if the format is improper. I know the format is MP3 and that it should work.
Any idea how to resolve this? Thanks

How did you put them on the USB drive? I copied my entire iTunes music library from my Mac to an SD and they play just fine. The only thing that's missing is the Playlist groupings I had.
