Default 2008 3.2_Oil pooling in 1 Torx well on top of head cover?

Hello - newb here and I just put a down payment on a 2008 A6 Avant with 70,000 miles. My mechanic is looking at it this week first, but I pointed out to the dealer that there is a puddle/pool of oil in one on the Torx bolt wells (left side in pic) that secures the head cover to the engine (or something like that .

I found a very similar thread here for the 4 cylinder engine, but the consensus was that the Torx bolt just needed to be tightened, or that that oil filler cap was gasket was leaking oil and it was finding its way to the "well". It is not the filler cap issue, my problem is on the other side of the V6 engine to the filler cap.

Any advice for me on what the cause may be? The pic below shows a "dry" Torx well on the right and the "wet" one with the oil puddled in it on the left.

Thanks!!

This Thread is for a similar issue with the 4 Cylinder engine:

I had the same problem. I tighten the torx screws and it solved it. But 6 of my torx screws were really loose on the drivers idea.

I had a similar issue on our 2006. A couple screws were loose but ultimately the valve cover gaskets were replaced.

Check for pooling of oil in the spark plug recesses.

Thanks Uberwgn and BlackR1ce. I'll make sure to discuss it with my mechanic when he inspects the 08 A6 Avant. Cheers, Jay

I have the same issue. Does anyone know the torque spec to tighten these screws? I don't want to over tighten them in case it causes more leak in other area. Thanks.
