Looking to buy a 2009 a4. Seller states the 3rd cylinder is dead.. what's this mean exactly?

Not to savvy when it comes to cars. Had a a4 b6 way back when in high school. Nothing but a problem lol. Currently driving a 16' IS260 F Sport. Other car- g37 coupe recently totaled. Looking for a second car. Hoping this can be the one!

Need some advice on this cylinder issue.

Do yourself a favor and lease a new Audi.

Unless you're car savvy, why would you buy a car that doesn't run? You can't drive on 3 cylinders.... well, you could, but it would ruin the engine pretty damn fast.

What does he mean by dead. Is there no compression or is it a mis-fire or what. If no compression you would need to check further but most likely it is a bad valve which means you need a valve job and while you are in there countless other issues will appear and you would have to give them your 1st born to pay for it. Find a better car.
