Default Vag com

I've been trying to figure out some info on this but can't really find any so I figured I'd just ask.

I'll assume that different vag coms do different things, which is the most popular brand here?

There are a couple customization things I'd like to do, like lower windows with unlock and be able to raise and lower the idle rpms. Any help with what I need?

The Ross-Tech cable and software will be the most comprehensive, and the most expensive, solution to the VAG-COM question. It can do pretty much anything to your car, which is both good and bad. They do have a great support forum.

Yes I agree that Ross Tech is worth the investment...

Looks like the USB cables are back with an option for 3 VINs(199) or 10 VINs(299)

I dont remember that option when i got mine - 349 for unlimited VINs.

Thats basically 2 diagnostic visits...

I'm curious as to why you would wish to change the idle speed? The computer will vary the speed according to a lot of input from sensors and is dynamic.

The original dealer changed the idle speed for whatever reason, I believe they were having issues managing the secondary air system. So I'm curious if vcds would allow me to change it as well

Curious, does the number of VINs mean cars it can be used on, or, number of times one uses the vag on one car?

New VCDS OBDII cable model with new use options (HEX-V2 Enthusiast). Adds compatibility for the newest Audis.
