Default EPC Light - Single Event - 2016 SQ5

Yesterday while driving on the highway the EPC light came on, and my SQ5 felt like it was only running on 4 or 5 cylinders, and then struggled to pull away from a stoplight. I stopped and restarted, and the EPC light and rough running went away. Have driven twice since with no issues.

I'm already taking the car in next Tuesday for the 15k service, but wanted to see if anyone had this issue before, in case I get the "we can't find a problem" response from the dealer. The only references I seen to the EPC light on the forums have been for 3.2 cars or modded Q5s. Mine is 100% stock, and always running brand-name premium gas.

After a 2 week vacation I started my 14 SQ5 up and the EPC light was on and it was idling roughly. I scanned for codes: 3 cylinders were misfiring and one code for multiple random misfires. I cleared the codes, shut it off and restarted and all was OK and has been for over a week since. Last thing I did before vacation was wash the car, so I put it down to moisture and sitting for 2 weeks.

Hopefully the dreaded "coil-pack" issue hasn't re-surfaced.If they haven't got it right by now they should be taken out back and.....

An update: code P0300 was stored, cylinder 3 misfire. Dealer said it was result of a software bug that would be corrected with the ECM software update.

Not sure I believe that...but certainly hope the VW group coil pack issues aren't back. Our 2010 GTI has been through I believe 11 (!) coil packs.
