Tire Rotation on 10k service?
Just hit 9k today so its about that time to set up the appointment for the 10k hookup. Is this when most of you that have gone in for the 10k service do a tire rotation? If not, when is the recommended mileage when this rotation should occur?

The typical tire rotation interval is every six months or 6000 to 8000 miles. Audi used to do a free tire rotation at the 5000 miles service. Get yourself a tire tread gauge and regularly monitor your tire wear. Around the above marks, see if they've worn unevenly and if so you can easily rotate them yourself. The rotation pattern for quattro is front to back on the same side, so just get a floor jack then jack up each side at once with the help of the included car jack and swap each side. Get yourself a torque wrench, too, so you can torque the wheel bolts correctly. I believe for the Q7 it's 120 lb ft.

Do you have a link from Audi to confirm that? I don't remember seeing anything about that in the manual and I also find that odd as Audi doesn't even include rotating the tires as a part of the regular service maintenance.
