Traffic Jam Assist - Click Noise
For those of you who have Traffic Jam Assist, do any of you notice a clicking noise coming from the driver's side footwell when the function is engaged?
It appears that whenever the system engages/disengages the rear brake lights, a relay goes off. The clicking noise really becomes bothersome which is ironic since Traffic Jam Assist is supposed to help ease stress during traffic, but this clicking noise just drives my stress back up again.
I'm going to be taking my 3-week old car into service this Friday, but wondered if there is any TSB or comment that has previously been made on this subject (other than the ABS clicks). Thanks!

I use it daily and haven't noticed any noises. There is a clicking sound at some point around 20-25 mph. Although I have only notice that when starting to drive it to work or home, not on the highway w/ TJA even after sitting still for a bit (or stop lights for that matter).

It's normal and is a side effect of the system actively regulating/controlling brake pressure while the vehicle is being autonomously piloted. Some of that pressure makes it way back to the brake pedal, resulting in a small noise.

So, they've had the car over the weekend (it sat there parked for 3 days untouched per Audi MMI Connect) so they finally got around to trying to diagnose the issue today. Of course they can't replicate it, so I'm going to go into the dealership tomorrow to drive with one of the techs. More to come...
