Default broken steering lock in 1995 90q

i understand this mechanism is supposed to break to prevent theft...i have a new steering lock assembly on the way, but i havent been able to find much in the way of replacing it.

is anyone able to point me to a guide or otherwise? id really appreciate it.

finances finally freed up for this build so ill be much more active on here.

I have attached a PDF (I think it attached on my reply) on how to change the lock assembly. If your only replacing the ignition switch electrical part..it is not as complex.

Yes! Thats perfect, thank you so much. But...i really have to yank the whole damn column? I was hoping to drop the knee panel and unbolt and be golden. However, it doesnt look terrible...thank you so much, thats a huge help.
