05 A6 3.2 leaky injector on cylinder one...
Where do I start? Looking to fix this myself and I'm told that with the FSI, injection is underneath the valve cover?

After doing more searching, I've read so far that the intake has to come off and there are several tools used to put the new o rings and seals on the injectors? Has enough time passed for a clever DIYer to come up with a method that doesn't require all these tools?

Thanks for responding... I am told it's the seal and not the actual injector that is leaking so I am looking to see what others have done with regards to teflon seal and o rings. Have people just replaced the orings and call it a day?
any diy pages created for the removal and installation of injectors into FSI engines?

You can always swap out the injectors to see if they are good, if that's the route you want to go.

I'd go the other way and just change the o-ring if that's the leak (which, I must admit, I find surprising). Getting the manifold and fuel lines off is fairly easy. But getting the injectors out is a pain, and the failure rate on the teflon rings is near zero.
