There's different reasons for car meet's. Ultimately they satisfy varying needs for each member attending. Hence... what's the benefit?? We all have busy schedules and families but some "fun time" is never a bad thing.
Some want camaraderie, others want knowledge, others want perks. When I attend family gathering I definitely tell them what i'm bringing to the party so we have well coordinated party.
I'm willing to do a meet just for the camaraderie of it, but I'd really be more prone to attend if another member with #1 on list below is available:
1. Looking for A6 cars with top view camera system i can study wiring (want to adapt onto my car)
2. Can help with self-install of any of the mods in my signature if interested.
3. Can help share how to change brakes on cars at 1/4 price of dealer cost.
4. Can help share how to change your own oil at 1/8 price of dealer cost.
