allroad goes down at the rear overnight
hello everyone,
My 2002 allroad goes completely down in the back overnight. It takes about 5mins before a can move in the mornings. Sometimes the light flashes on the dash indicating a problem. If I stop the car and turn it on again, I can get it up to normal driving function. The compressor does seem to be cutting in and out quite a lot when driving, and sometimes I have to turn the car off and on again to reset the air suspension and get the dash light out.
Can anyone indicate what might be wrong?
Thanks, Justin

You either have an air leak at the bag/line or distribution block. You should find a service shop where they can smoke the system to find leak. My experience has shown that the block (that controls the air distribution) begins to go bad and causes this - especially in cold weather.

The reason the pump goes out is that it has a programmed duty cycle, meaning that it is only allowed to run for so long or it would overheat.
When the air reservoir is empty due to an air leak, it will require more than one "duty cycle" of the pump. When you turn the car off and then on, it resets the timer.
