More n00b q's (I know,sorry)
Hey all. For anyone who didn't catch my other post yet- I'm just starting to get into Audis after years of being pretty much everywhere else in the automotive world so please excuse the noobness. I am in the market for my next vehicle and ideally looking for a B8 A5/S5 coupe. I already know I am going to want to lower it, but I REALLY get sick of having lowered/slammed vehicles sometimes (I'm 40, cut me a break). I know the A6 suspension is more or less a direct swap onto Allroads, I'm wondering if the swap works as well in reverse? Or would the lowest height of the air struts still be too high on an A5/S5? I have pretty good sized ***** and welding/fabricating skills, but I also know from experience that it is a LOT easier to lengthen a strut assembly than shorten one. Anyone?

I don't think you should be swapping parts between the B and C chassis at the very least the spring rates are going to be out of whack.
KW does make some nice springs called HAS (height adjustable springs) that are sort of like coilovers but you use the factory struts/shocks. This way you can keep adjusting your ride height until you are in love with it and not have to swap springs several times to get to that height you are looking for.
