Who makes Audi OEM Struts ('06 A6 in particular)
I'm going to be changing out the front struts on my car, & am deciding on which the ones I'll get.
I've been wondering who made the original struts on my car. It's a base '06 A6 w/the 18" conti package.
The reason that I'm interested, in the OEM strut mfr, is that I'm wondering if they are gas filled or not, & the mfr's quality.
I'm deciding between Bilstein B6's(great, but pricey) & Koni StrT's(less than half the price, but apparently not gas filled?)
This is a car with 152K miles on it. So, I am a realist on how much to put in it. At the same time, I want a better handling & good riding car for it's remaining life.
So, I'm somewhat interested to know that I am not putting lesser quality parts on my daily driver.

Some have said the OE parts are by Monroe, Larry.

If that's true, then the OEM's are gas charged. Then, Konis should be used with stiffer springs, because they lack gas charging. Otherwise, the axle's spring rate would, actually, be reduced.
Since I do not want to go to shorter, stiffer springs, the bilstein B6's are the way that I should go (for now).

Look into Koni's FSD set up.
