2011 Q7 TDI Particulate Filter Replacement

Does any know if there is a lifespan to the exhaust particulate filter? If so, mileage and/or age determine lifespan?

Info from 2011 Audi Maintenance Schedule - hope this helps ?!?

Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) – check ash loading according to manufacturer’s work procedure, replace* if necessary l USA: 125K only: Audi Q7 3.0L TDI,

* If DPF replacement is not necessary, perform check every 20,000 miles (30,000 km) thereafter until replacement becomes necessary. Subsequent DPF replacement interval is a minimum of 120,000 miles (200,000 km) thereafter.

I have the diesel particulate light come on every now and then. I have replaced mine and i'm at 120,000KM. I usually keep revs above 2500 for about 15 to 20 min on freeway and it goes out.
I have been thinking of bypassing it somehow?
Any thoughts on this

Old thread 2016 I know. My DPF is getting replaced under ext warranty. 158,000 KM's on it. This car has cost Audi a small fortune. Engine removal to fix oil leaks, DPF filter replacement and before I bought the car they did a bunch of EGR, EGR cooler,and DEF pump and other emissions work done.
