Adblue Question
Does the Adblue fill port on the Q7 require a special fitting to add the fluid? In reading the Owner's Manual, it talks about turning and pressing in on the 1/2 gallon refill container to get it to flow in.
Can the Adblue be filled direct from the 2-1/2 gallon containers sold by VW and Impex; or is it necessary to transfer from the larger 2-1/2 gal container to the 1/2 gal container in order to fill the Adblue tank in the car. Can the 1/2 gal container even be refilled?
TIA for your insights.

I take delivery of a 2010 Q7 in mid June and am trying to prep myself for some of seemingly expensive nuances of Q7 TDI ownership so that I can reduce the total cost of ownership of this potentially wonderful machine.

Greetings Dutch - I've been scouring the TDI forums trying to find a similar answer as to whether or not the Adblue tanks can be filled without taking it into Audi specifically. Everything I've read online so far suggests that the two Adblue tanks on the Q7 can only be filled completely by taking it into an Audi dealer - but no one mentions anything about what they use to fill both tanks.

In the mean time, I do have more info. The 1/2 gallon bottle has the correct dispensing port for the Q7. The 2.5 gallon does not, but there must be a way to use it.
More will obviously be revealed when the cars are in our hands.

Not a lot of traffic here. What a shame.
The 1/2 gallon container has the proper fitting to mate with the Adblue port on the Q7. The 2.5 gallon container does not, although there certainly must be a way to make it work.

Feel free to also post on myturbodiesel.com , it's a growing Audi and VW TDI specific forum. Lots of general FAQ as well. Thanks for your post - I don't have a touareg so I couldn't tell you what the difference was.
