Assuming Audi/VW reach some agreement to fix the 3.0 TDIs - as opposed to having to buy them back - you can likely expect a decrease in performance. Go test drive one of the BMW 3 series diesels. I believe the 328d or 330d (can never keep BMW model #s straight). My wife had one for a loaner for a couple days a couple years ago and it was a dog. Not a bad car, but had none of the pep the VW/Audi diesels have. There's an obvious theory/explanation as to why, now that the diesel scandal has broke, but back when we drove the 330d it was still believed Audi's diesels were "green" and clean and I couldn't help but notice how sluggish the BMW felt in comparison.
