TDI - The fraud that was and still is...

I believe there will be a status update mid-February which should finalize the details of the restitution amounts along with a status report for any proposed fix. Today is also the last day to submit your comments to the DOJ. I submitted mine last week.

has anyone tried to get a refund from Audi for their unused portion of the Audi Care plan on your TDI model? I've been told since the vehicle wasn't totaled you're not eligible for a refund. Audi customer care can't seem to make up their minds or know which department to send me to.

If this really did happened a full buyback of all TDI's, including Gen 2's, should be on the table. I wonder if this latest revelation, reported by Forbes, will change the final settlement yet to be approved by the court.

There is already a US settlement. VW/Audi has already started buying the vehicles back. I think they are still waiting on the approval of the "fix".

This settlement/fix is only for the 2.0 models. As stated earlier, no final decision on the 3.0 models.
If you have Audi Care and are planning on selling your vehicle back don't hold your breath you'll get reimbursed for the unused portion. I'm still getting the run a round.
