Greg thanks so much. In some of the posts I've skimmed that seems to only work on older models. Does it work on the new models too?

Depends on the model and year. The 2016 A6/S6/A7/S7 and 2017 Q7 and A4 with 4G LTE can only provide the Audi c=Connect features with an Audi Connect Prime AT&T account. Earlier models equipped for T-Mobile 3G can use sims and plans from other providers that use the T-Mo network (or AT&T 3G for certain 2014-2015 models).
