Default can i edit my post?

in the FAQ it shows an 'edit' button. yet, i do not see this in any of my posts. is this a user rights thing because i'm new to the forum?

I had the same issue when I was new. Then suddenly it appeared after I posted quite a few posts. Have a look in your account settings as I remember I also changed something there and that could have enabled EDIT

Also check what this panel says for you at the bottom of the page:

I reckon it either kicks in after a certain time period of you being a member or after a certain amount of posts. Can't understand why it would be disabled , surely editing a post is not a security issue.
