Default 1999 Audi TT Quattro (Red oil light)

I just bought an 1999 Audi TT Quattro for $6000 US with a rebuilt engine at 60k Miles and a chassis with 125k miles. After driving the vehicle about 250 miles I noticed the (Red Oil Lamp). Apparently my car doesn't make the beep beep beep noises for some reason so I never noticed it was flashing. I hope driving it 250 miles didn't destroy the Turbo Or Engine.

Another problem I have is my electronics seam to be going out. My blinkers will stick in the on position sometimes and stop making the blinker noise. My radio volume control doesn't work anymore.

So to my question after all this blabbering........What should I do about the Red Oil Light. I notice my Turbo doesn't spool at all which I don't think is good. My engine seems fine. I really don't want to pay $250 for a mechanic to look at it and not find the problem. Thanks!

Default

make sure theres oil in the engine and search the internet on how to test for oil pressure. it could be a bad oil pump, sensor or oil level sensor
I would start there
