My TT won't smog. the smog place said it wont communicate with the smog machine. The only thing I think it could be is that the service warning is on in the center for changing the oil. I changed the oil about 2 months ago but I do not have a VAG reader to clear the fault. Could that be what is stopping the smog machine from talking with the car? any help would greatly appreciated.

Service warning will not show up as an engine fault in VCDS, sounds like the smog place cannot communicate to the ODB2 port, not sure without an attempted scan of your own.
