Default 2001 TT convertible

I have a 2001 Audi TT convertible with 25,500kms. When I adjusted my stearing column the signal lights, AC fan and windshield wipers stopped working. I moved the column back and everything started working again. I have had the occasional issue with the signal lights off and on after I have been driving for a while but I never noticed if everything else was not working.

Does anyone have any idea what it could be? Could it be the load reduction switch or the ignition switch or a loose wire?

Thanks for your help

Sounds like a short, possible loose connector in the steering column wiring harness to me from what you describe.

Thank you for the reply, to get to the wiring I assume I would need to remove the airbag and stearing wheel and just go through each wire and connection?

I think its possible to just open the column covers, I did so when I removed my instrument cluster. Should be able to get a visual on the harness at least as a starting point.

Do a search for TT instrument cluster repair or replacement, I think that's how I went about it, if you have a manual its in there too
