Default 2002 TTR 1.8 Instrument cluster vs 225Q

I need to get my instrument cluster repaired. I found a fully repaired 225 Quattro panel for sale.
Question: can the 225 be used in the 1.8 assuming they are both same year/TTR?
My manual nay covers a 1.8.
Thanks all.

I am able to keep the map displayed on the instrument cluster while using Android Auto for nav by following the steps below. Perhaps it will work for Car Play as well.

Here's how it works for me. (I have always done all of this while in motion.):

1. Connect phone and make sure AA loads;
2. Select Nav on VC;
3. Tell MMI to navigate to a destination (I use the menu to pick a destination for this rather than voice commands. I don't know if that makes a difference.);
4. Once the MMI destination loads, long press the voice button so that AA receives the command;
5. Tell AA (i.e., Google Maps) to navigate to a location;

At this point, the AA/Google navigation takes over and is shown on the MMI screen. MMI navigation becomes disabled, but the map remains on the VC.

I don't know why this works, but it does every time for me.
