Default 2004 Mk 1 225 quattro rear wheel camber?????

Hi all, i'm new to this forum, I've recently brought myself a 2004 TT 225 four wheel drive and love it, I took it to the local garage to get a four wheel camber alignment to which they did but told me the rear wheels are not camber adjustable, the off side rear is quite far out of camber and the inside of the tyre is suffering because of it, the near side is not so bad, Does anybody know if there is anything you can do about this?? a camber kit or replacement arms ect??? any help would be greatly appreciated, Many thanks, Dave

Service manual clearly shows the technique for rear camber adjustment. You may want to take it to a place that is more familiar with alignments on Audi's, even the stealership as a last resort.

I have done my own alignment on VWs and Audi's. But the rear setup on the TT is 4 bolts that move the thing all over the place(Camber, Toe-in, etc. all at once). This is unlike anything I'm used to, so I'm having to pay someone on this one, even though I have the service manual and am reasonably competent. According to the service manual, you need new bolts every time you do an alignment as well, so ask about that. Some don't use new bolts, so it may make a difference in pricing vs. what you are getting.

Since you are new to the car, I would also suggest ANY specialized service you have done, have it done by someone who specializes in Audi's. Audi engineers never heard of DFS (Design for Service) or DFM (Design for Manufacturing), I guess. Heck, even the battery replacement requires modifications, most often.

FWD's are not, Quattro's are adjustable. FWD's have basically a simple beam in the rear, if the alignment is out, the entire beam is replaced.
