Hello , New member , but a real car guy. Have a question for anybody out there in terms of the air bag syst for a 2005 Audi TT convert 1.8L T

I have the air bag light on the dash. I have sent in the airbag module for a reset and have recieved it back. I have checked the following
1, under drivers seat connection point , cut out faulty clip and direct wired
2. checked passenger seat and performed same operation.
3. connected reset module and the light went off for a brief 10 sec. then came back on again., so not sure what the issue here is now .

Questions I have as I have worked on Air bag systems before but on american cars only.

1. Does the ECU have to be reset also?
2. Does the car need the VAG to reset ?
3 Are there accelerator sensors in the model and year of TT?

Any info would be appreciated as this is the only thing i need to do before putting the car back in service .

I guess there is nobody out there into Aig bag systems on Audi TT's ??

A bit snarky second post, but yes, you have to reset using VAGCOM assuming you have corrected the problem, or at least that was my experience. I had a bad connection on a side airbag on an A4 that wouldn't clear by itself. What started all this?
